Wanna have an exciting experience of having satay? Check out this shop that located at Dato’ Keramat. It is a very authentic Malay kampung house. But the experience is great and it’s worth for trying.

You must be patient while waiting for your satay as they have a huge crowd in the shop. Some were having there some take away. They have a long satay pit which I have never seen before such a long pit. Very interesting. The waiters/waitress and workers there are very friendly too.

The satay taste is good and the gravy of the satay is delicious too. But the environment is what I really like to experience!

SS20 Fish Head Noodle (鱼头米)

First time when I saw this stall, I will never think of trying it because I thought it is just like another stall of Fish Head Noodle. But I never though of. their afternoon lunch crowd are full of people.

My boyfriend took me there during the evening time. It is located very near to the Damansara Hospital.

They serve a lot of dishes with the fish head. If you don’t like to eat too much of carbohydrate like me, don’t worry coz they even serve Baby Spinach with Haruan Sliced Meat (元菜和生鱼片). They cook the baby spinanch with the fried garlic and haruan 6 pieces of sliced meat. Not very costly, it is only RM13. It is healthy and taste so good.

Of course they have one of their signature Haruan Slice Meat Noodles (生鱼片). They cook the noodles together with 4 pieces of fish cook with preserved vegetable, tomato, ginger, spring onion, fried onion and with evaporated milk. You can request without the evaporated milk, but I suggest you try it with the evaporated milk as it is a magic for the taste. You can even choose the noodles, either mee hoon or lai fun. It is only cost you either RM9.50 (Mee Hoon) or RM9.80 (Lai Fun). It is really delicious and taste so great that you will want to have a 2nd bowl.

After some healthy and great taste food, of course we need some sinful dessert. **grin** Try their Sago Gula Melaka, you feel refreshing after have it especially in the hot day.

Chinese Authentic Food (强记补品)

If you are looking for a authentic road side food with a great taste of authentic Chinese herbal soup. You must try this out. It is located at Kuala Lumpur right behind the Time Square and opposite the Eu Yan Sang.

It is not those high class restaurant but it is at the road side under the tree. You can see a lot of cars park at the road side just to try out this stall.

Their signature soup is the coconut chicken soup. They boiled the chicken with some Chinese Herbs in the coconut husk. The taste is so great… the mixture with Chinese herbs, chicken and the sweetness of coconut.

I like their pork belly with preserve vegetable. Great especially with you eat together with a hot white rice.

Ooh don’t forget to try their wild boar curry. It is great too.

It is a restaurant that specialized in Melaka Hainanese Cuisine whose recipes are originally inherited from the grandfather who originally from Hainan Island, China and also the founder of Heng Hong Tin Kee (HHTK) Restaurant who established since 1950’s in Melaka.

Friends, if you are staying in Klang Valley and craving for the Melaka Chicken Rice Ball, then this will be the good news for you! You can have it at Sunway Mas, Petaling Jaya without travel all the way to Melaka.

Restaurant Fu Gua Thong is operated by a family from Johor. This restaurant serves a very tasteful and delicious of Fu Gua Thong (bitter gourd soup).

The restaurant is not the kind of glamour environment. It is just like a normal Chinese coffee shop with the air-cond. But the foods here will make you want to come back and eat again and again especially their signature dish of Fu Guo Thong.

I always thought that Fu Guo Thong should be very bitter. In fact, after the first sip, I felt a fresh and cooling sensation in my mouth and I start to love it!!!

Fu Guo Thong

Chinese always believe that Fu Gua (bitter gourd) is very good for cooling our body, our skin, increase our immune system, decrease the chances of getting cancer and etc. According to this restaurant owner, Fu Gua is actually one of the vegetables that full of Vitamin A, B and C.

Where is this restaurant? It is just located at Bandar Puteri, Puchong, opposite the Citibank and Giant.

This stall – DinPaow Cuisine is located at Chatu Chak, Bangkok. Be frank, I has forgotten which part of Chatu Chak. But as long as you are in there, I believe you will able to find it!

The food in this stall is really delicious and the price is cheap!!! The stall is full of people.

This is the sticky rice we ordered. It wrap by the banana leaf.

This is the famous TomYam Soup. This is the best Tom Yam Soup I have taken during this trip.

Minced pork salad, I love this very much. It taste spicy and sour.

Po-pia – inside is vege… I like this very much… dim into the chili source… yummi yummi,.. I like this taste…

Hmm… don’t ask me what is this called. I have no idea.. I just know this is really delicious… Inside the white color skin, it is actually a pork. I love this..

Go there and try yourself!!! You will never regret!!!

Sahara Tent Restaurant

Sahara Tent Restaurant is a famous and well-known Arabian Cuisine in Malaysia. The founder of this restaurant has been in the F&B industry for over 15 years. He has his first restaurant in Egypt and second Arabic eatery in New Zealand and then a third in Thailand. He came to Malaysia and set up the fourth Sahara Tent in Year 2000 and today become a most coveted Arabic restaurant in Malaysia.

This restaurant is located at Hotel Fortuna, off Jalan Bukit Bintang. This is a very cozy traditional Arabic restaurant. I like their environment very much. The interior of the restaurant is so unique and cool!!! I like it!!!

They serve a very great food and affordable price. The portion is huge. We ordered Kozi, a big slice of well prepared lamb rested on a bed of your choice of rice, served with tomato gravy. This is the most I like. The lamb is big and the meat of the lamb is so tender and soft!!! And the best part is, it only cost RM19.90. The portion can share for 2 person.

We also ordered Dolma, the popular arabian homemade dish, different varieties of vegetable stuffed with minced lamb, onion, herbs, tomato, cooked into perfection topped with tomato sauce. This is real nice! The mixture of the food taste very well done!

Kus-kus, steamed Moroccan cricket wheat served with a gravy of vegetable and herbs prepared with chicken or lamb.

We also tried their starter. Falafel, heard that this is a popular mid-eastern dish consisting of deep fried chickpeas, garlic, spices, coriander and spring onion, served with bread.

There are still a lot of different Arabian food that we didn’t have a chance to try that day cause we were too full!!! Can you imagine how big the portion and how worth for the price!!! But we will definitely go there and try others again! We hope to see you there too!

A very cool design and cozy environment cafe which located at Damansara Utama. They are famous on their cupcakes.

They have different types of flavor of cupcakes with creative design. They have small and the normal size of cupcakes on the shelf. Beside, the customers can actually place order for their cupcakes.

Beside cupcakes, they serve 8 types of sandwiches, baked potato, burger and other finger tips foods. We ordered Sloopy Hot Dog, Beef Rasher (Sandwich) and Baked Potato – Turkey.

The Sandwich and Baked Potato dishes will come with a small portion of salad. What I like the most of their salad is, instead of using maiyonese or thousand Island kind of source for their salad, they actually use olive oil with some fruit sauce and it taste very good, and healthy.

I am a potato lover and quite fuzzy on how people cook the potato too. Their Baked Potato – Turkey is really what I want! The timing of they bake the potato is on really on the dot. And when you eat the potato together with the turkey, the matching of the taste are so great!

The Sloopy Hot Dog is real good too! The Hot Dog they serve are longer than the normal hot dog. You have to try this! It is real nice!

On top of foods, they have 5 different flavors of milk (Wonder Milk): vanilla, butterscotch, caramel, macadamia, irish cream (non-alcohol). We personally tried vanilla flavor (hot and cold) and irish cream flavor (hot). We still prefer vanilla.

Put aside the foods, cupcakes, milk and etc… they sell clothes, some green tea bag, gadgets, jam, accessories, cute stuffs in their cafe too. The price is very reasonable.

If you are looking for a place to online with your laptop, you can consider this cafe. Why? Because they serve GOOD AND REASONABLE PRICE OF FOOD and WITH WIFI!

Would you like to feel at home while having your meal at cafe? Good news for you! You can actually find it at The Apartment. We want to bring you home is their slogan.

There is 2 outlets in Klang Valley, Malaysia – The Curve, Mutiara Damansara and KLCC. I love the one which located at The Curve. It is so cozy!!! There is a few different design in the cafe. They have the design like living room, toilet, kitchen and bedroom. If you sit at the table with the bedroom design, you really feel like in the bedroom as the bedroom design is the table with the daybed and pillows as a chair. I love this design the most!!!

Yes!!! Environment is very important for a cafe. But food also very important. Don’t worry as the food is delicious too!!! They have variety of foods and desert too. They serve main meal, salad, desert…

We ordered Poached Egg & Bacon and Grill Chicken Wrap.

Poached Egg & Bacon
Open toasted ciabatta sandwich of beef bacon, poached effs, watercress salad and mayonnaise.

It is so presentable and the when you mix the bacon and egg together, the taste is really good!!!

Grill Chicken Wrap
Pieces of grilled marinated chicken wrapped in soft tortillas with tomato salsa and rocket.

The Chicken Wrap is really taste good and unique!!! It is juice, the chicken is tender!! You must try this!!!!

We also tried their dessert – Baked Chocolate Pudding
Moist chocolate pudding with burst of coffee in the centre served with vanilla cream.

This is good!!! The chocolate pudding is really good. You can feel the chocolate with burst of coffee which is hot and mix with the cold vanilla cream!!!! It is fantastic!!! Remember it is not just a normal vanilla ice cream but it is a vanilla cream!!!

Come and feel the home environment and the great food by yourself. Then you will understand what I mean here!!

Skew Bar

This Skew Bar is a very nice hang out place. It’s located at Paradise Centre, Singapore.

They serve a few type of BBQ chicken. Their A la Carte Specialty is Chicken ( the most popular!). Beside that, they also serve rice with BBQ and so on.

We ordered Brazil Imported Ghickea Thights. It taste not bad! Worth a try!

They are also having some promotion. I believe you wouldn’t want to miss it!!! So check-it up NOW!!!!

祥兴鸡饭

If you are looking for good chinese chicken rice in KL, you can find it at Damansara Utama, near Uptown 2, same role with the HSBC. This store is actually at the Restoran Koon Kee (冠记店食面).

But you only can find it during the day time. Night time is for another owner who sell Teow Chew Porridge and Rice.

The chicken will not taste too dry but soft and tasteful. I like the rice especially. I always believe rice is very important for the chicken rice dish.

Try this!!! I believe you will like it!!!

SENJYU SUSHI

This Japan Sushi Restaurant is located at The Cineleisure Damansara, same role with the MAC shop and Mcdonald. The outlook of the restaurant is grand. The major colors they pick for the restaurant are black and green – black wood wall and green bottle for decoration for the whole restaurant. It looks really nice.

The food here is quite nice but the presentation for the foods are really good.

This flower tea is very unique. It started like the picture below which the flower is hiding inside the grasses. But after 5 minutes, the flower came out.

This is the beef.

These are the promotion sushi. The salmon is really fresh.

The fish soup is really good! I like this very much. It has salmon fish, tofu and etc.

They always have some promotion in this restaurant. Check it out and don’t miss the boat!!!

DAORAE Korean BBQ Restaurant

This Korean BBQ is owned by a Korean and they have been open seven outlets in Malaysia (KL, Selangor and Penang). Their layout is modern + traditional. They even have a private room for customers who have their private function.

I have tried their outlet in Bandar Puteri Puchong. Not bad the food and comfortable seats as you can seat on the floor just like Korean style. The price here is also quite reasonable.

We ordered Kimchi-jjigae – a spicy combination of belly pork, kimchi and tofu in a rich kimchi soup, served with rice.

We also tried their Sam-gye-tang – a traditional korean favour boiled chicken with zginseng, date and garlic. The chicken stuffed with rice. This is really good. I love it!!!

If you are working in CDB area, you may want to try out this cafe during your lunch time. It really pack and full of people during 12.15pm till 1.45pm.

The food is really good! I like their beef very much! It is tender, juicy, soft and the most important thing –>> the beef without the smell!!!

The portion is very big and it is definitely worth for money. The set comes with soup of the day.

This Chinese Tim Sam Restaurant is located at Damansara Utama, same role as the Old Town White Coffee Kopitiam.

The Tim Sam is really delicious and juicy in the mouth. After you finish one, you will definitely want to try another one.

Above picture is the lotus leaf dumpling. Inside the lotus leaf are rice. The rice is smooth and taste excellent! The texture is really good!

Wakchai Authentic Johor Dishes

This cafe is located at TTDI. It is a Malay cafe which their specialty is Johor Dishes.

It is quite a cozy place and windy. No air-cond but very windy.

They are famous on Beriani rice & Chicken Beriani. We ordered Chicken Beriani. Yes!!! It’s really taste good!!! The gravy of the chicken mix well with the Beriani rice. For the guys who eat a lot, you will be very happy coz their portion is large.

This actually comes together with the Chicken Beriani.

Beside Beriani Rice, we also ordered one of their famous dishes – Mee Bandung Johor. It is very presentable. There is an fried egg on top with the gravy. But it doesn’t really have a lot of gravy for this mee.

This cafe is located at SS22. A very cozy environment and feel like at home. The owner is a very capable and sharp looking lady. All the cakes recipe are from her.

They are famous on their cakes. The most famous is DURIAN CAKE, TIRAMISU (with brandy), CHEEZE CAKE and MANGO Baked Cheese cake. I have tried their Tiramisu (with brandy). The first bite, I can taste the brandy mix well together with the coffee… that’s really fantastic. I have tried a lot of Tiramisu out there, but no one can fight her. It was either only feel the coffee taste or too much of brandy. But in BON BON’s CAFE, the mixture of brandy and coffee in their TIRAMISU are perfect!

A lot of people order cakes from her. They have a list of menu of cakes and some of the cakes need to give one week notice for the special order and others need 3 days notice.

I was there for the lunch, and a lot of her customer came in and collect the cakes they ordered.

Beside, cakes and coffee, they serve set lunch as well. It comes with the Soup of the Day, main dish, cake / ice-cream and coffee / tea. The ice-cream that they serve, is not the normal ice-cream. But it is the hotel standard of quality of ice-cream. All their gravy and recipe are from the owner. They are famous:

An old time kopitiam style of restaurant – HAI NAM is located at the Ground floor of First World in Genting. It always full of people as the price here is really reasonable and affordable to everyone.

This is not a Halal restaurant as they sell Bat Kut Teh and also toast bread with butter and kaya.

I like the Hai Nam Chicken Rice here. The chicken is juicy and fresh. Not forget about the rice, it is really GOOD!!!! Rice always play a very important role in chicken rice. Of course, Hai Nam Ren (海南人) is always famous in cooking chicken rice!!!

We also tried their Braised Noodle. Not bad!!! A lot of vege, pork and chicken too!!! The noodle is tender.

The Olive

Wow!!! This is the first time I took such a expensive dinner. But let me tell you, it is really really really fantastic meal!!!

The Olive is actually located at Genting Hotel. It is one of the expensive restaurant in Genting. Beside the restaurant, they actually have a bar for people who proceed their chill out after their meal.

They serve breads that have with the olive oil and vinegar once after finished ordered food. The bread is so soft!!! I really love it very much!

They sell exclusive wine (bottle or glass) and with a group of 3 Pilipino that sing really well!!!

The Escargot we ordered, hmm… ok… good but nothing very special. But the beef and the lamb rib really made me WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

We ordered a Black Angus Beef. Wow!!! I have never tried such a good medium rare beef before!!! It is so juicy and… I have no idea how to describe the feeling when you bite it in your mouth!

We also ordered the lamb rib. It is good and big portion!! Very presentable and delicious!!!

Although it was a very expensive meal. But it is really worth for money!!! Trust me!! You should try it one day when you are in Genting!!!

Hot Pot Genting is located at Genting First World. I can’t say that the food here is fantastic. But it is quite a reasonable price. As a lot of people always said, foods in Genting are always expensive. If you are facing that problem, may be you can try on this cafe.

Located at First World and same elevator to the Snow World. They offer express lunch set which is only RM11.90 + tax with a hot/cold Chinese tea and dessert. The good news is you can choose whatever meal you want and Halal. Not bad right?

We ordered 2 lunch set. One is Kong Poh Chicken Pot Rice and another one is Chili Chicken Pot Rice.

Looking for good food in Genting Highland? You might wanna try this “Vietnam House” located at Genting Highland First World. The owner is a Malaysian who married a Vietnamese wife.

I like the environment especially the place that we sit was just next to the “river with the Venice Boat pass by” cool!!!

There is a over head bridge that for customer to cross the river to the restaurant.

The food is quite nice and with quite a decent price too.

Hmmm… actually it is just like Chinese San Min… but if you are a seafood lover, you might not want to miss this!!!

“Five Kind of Beef” – This dish contents 5 kind of beefs. How to eat this interesting dish? You can mix whichever beef together with the fruits and vege and wrap with the rice paper (the white color).

Choose whichever beef and mix together with the vege and fruit.

Located at Lor 9 Geylang in Singapore. These 2 coffee shop: 新来来 (famous in frog porridge) and Lor 9 Beef Kway Teow Geylang (obviously famous in beef kway teow) is actually just side by side.

The frog porridge is really taste good! They have either spicy or non-spicy frog porridge. But I personally prefer spicy. For your information, the spicy is really damn spicy.

I was in Singapore last weekend. I went to this Macau Cafe at East Coast. Hmm… the food here is quite different if compare with any of the Hong Kong cafe in KL. The food is not bad.

The one that can’t get off from my mind is the “Fried Chinese Carrot Cake”. It is very different with the Traditional with the soya source or Singapore style of Chinese Carrot Cake. They actually deep fried the Carrot Cake. So it is crispy.

We also ordered the “Polo Char Siew Pau” and the “Fried Potato Ball”. Hmmm yummy yummy… The Fried Potato Ball not only potato.. they actually mash the potato, mix with bacon and deep fried it. Coolllll……………

My Favorite Korean Food – Top Spice

Top Spice is located at Bandar Puteri Puchong, near Citibank and Giant. It is fully owned by a Korean couple.

I have been tried a lot of Korean food in KL and this Korean restaurant is the most I like!!!! Would you like to try a Korean Home Cook Food? Then you have to try here!!! The chef is the owner (Korean) and she was on one of the Korean channel for cooking show when she was in Korea.

Beside, their side dishes are so special and delicious that you hardly find from other Korean restaurant. The most I like is the fried pumpkin. The first bite, you can feel the juice from the pumpkin and the skin is so crispy. Usually, I will ask for additional of this fried pumpkin.

The kimchi in Top Spice is the best that you can’t find out there. It is so fresh, juicy, crunchy, spicy and delicious!!! You will regret if you don’t try their kimchi!!!

This is the new side dishes. They used green bean to cook it. It taste like a Hash Brownie but it actually full of protein. Good taste and healthy.

Pork Bulgogi is another dish that is highly recommended. You MUST try this!!! You can request spicy or more spicy. After almost done on this dishes, must add the rice and fried together with the pork. Wow!!! That’s really fantastic!!!

Below the dish called Pork Roll. It’s actually use the bacon and roll together with cucumber, carrot and also spring onion. It’s cold and a bit sour. You will feel fresh after taking this.

The owner – husband and wife and the wife’s sister, 3 of them are very friendly. And they can speak good English as well.

This is my first time to this Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa located at Setapak near Gombak. The cafe is quite clean and neat. The food is not bad and presentable. A lot of TAR College students are here....

Standard nasi lemak is only 1/2 hard-boiled egg, sambal , ikan bilis, nuts, and tibun.
You can choose to add any dishes that you like such as this.

Annie 1 is my favorite lunch cafe during my lunch hour on weekdays. It located at Damansara Utama, just opposite Uptown 1. It is only 1 minute walk from my office... kekeke...

If you like to have a HOME COOK FOOD, you should come to this Annie 1 cafe!!! The food here is so delicious, and it is just like the food from my hometown... especially the sambal belacan... wow!!! I have no idea how to discribe it. But you must try it!!!

Was in bangkok for a couple of days and my collegue brought me this power place somewhere near the hot shopping area- the name is Mango Tango!!!

Its really a cool and trendy place to be seen at man.. 2 floors .. and the best part was they sell all mango related dishes!

I ordered the mango special and let me tell u.. its the best mango dessert i have eaten in my life mate.. 4 power packed mango dish in one... mango pudding with whipped cream--- soft and melting in ur mouth... mango fruti.sweet, tender and juicy... mango ice cream--- bursting with mango flavours.. and sticky rice.. classic thai ! the sticky rice has a bit of coconut splashed onto it..whooo... melting in ur mouth..

Have you ever try the Char Koay Teow in Lorong Selamat Penang? You should try it!!! The untie with goggles will fried the Koay Teow at the road side. This is the most expensive Char Koay Teow I had ever eaten - RM7.50. But the Char Koay Teow is definitely worth the price as it has 4 or 5 fresh big prawns and it is so delicious that you will never get to try it in other stalls. Be prepared, you have to line up as the business is so good. But all these are worth it!!!

This exhibition located at KL Convention Centre from 22nd Aug 07 to 25th Aug 07. It had so many different types of foods. They have lamb chop, dessert, chocolate.... etc.
